Strongest Photo
Represents Me

I believe this photo is my strongest photo. This photo was my word of the week for Psychotic. First, I set up this photo using lights so that they would shine on one side of her face and make it dark on the other side. I think that makes the photo's meaning be expressed better because of the dark theme. I also like the angle I shot this photo at because the straight on makes it appear more creepy. I purposely made her put her head down a little bit and do a creepy smile to help show the theme more. The meaning behind this photo is strong because it is showing that even the most normal people have dark sides to them.
I chose this photo to best represent me. This photo is from our double exposure shooting assignment. My partners word was "Architect", as shown in the photo through the building and stairs. My word was "Loss", as shown through the girl at the cemetery sitting by a grave. I feel this photo best represents me because of the loss shown in the photo. I lost a very important figure in my life a few years ago, my grandfather and I can connect to feeling of loss. This photo also represents me because when taking this photo, I wanted to incorporate something about me, but make it subtle. The thing I incorporated was finding a grave that had my birthday, April 30th. I like that I added that into this photo because it is something everyone might not know or notice in this photo, so that makes it more personal. I like the angle I shot this photo from because it shows sadness through the girls body language.
